PhaseII Association: New Zealand

Welcome to the Phase 2 website

sailing away. yaah Phase 2s are 2-handed centeboard sailing dinghies, which were designed in New Zealand in the late 1970s.

Phase 2s are light, fast and exciting to sail, without the rigging time or complications of a trapeze or spinnaker.

Phase 2s are sailed and raced at clubs throughout New Zealand. The largest concentration of boats are at Tamaki Yacht Club and Ngaroto Sailing Club at Te Awamutu, where they are also used for race training. At Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club in Wellington, Phase 2s are also used in adult 'Learn to sail', 'Intermediate' and race training classes.

If you're wanting to sell or buy a Phase 2 please contact the Secretary-Treasurer for an updated list.
